Blue Bloods 1.15 ‘Dedication’ review
This episode of Blue Bloods revolves around Frank getting shot; every family member wants to take his or her part to help in some way. As for finding the shooter one can see Danny and Jamie swing into ac-tion. Maybe to avoid the older son getting the case cliché, Danny gets to be in charge of the investiga-tion based on his rank.

“Dedication” brought light upon the complex behavior of Danny. He figures both in the role of the good cop (Danny’s empathy shown to the chauffeur on the verge of confession) and in the role of the bad cop (Danny’s temptation to get revenge when left alone with the suspect).
“Dedication” to family reflects in Danny’s gesture of calling Jamie to let him know there is another shooter on the loose. This suggests Danny’s a team player, and plays only with family members. Hence, Jamie’s role in solving the case is not minimized.
Frank proved to be worthy of all the esteem and respect he could get. The wisdom in his way of dealing with his son selfless devotion and the gesture of reaching out to his shooter represents the strongest evidence of his remarkable character. Danny’s maximal respect shows he has an enormous desire to resemble him.
One could find plenty of entertaining situation in this week’s episode, too (the slight pun in the priest’s assertions, Frank questioning the quality of the steak, Frank feeling tough enough trying to avoid hospi-talization, grandpa Reagan’s armed visit: “someone shot my son and I don’t know who or where he is”, Renzulli’s crazy musical acts, Frank’s attitude while receiving gifts, Nicky and Henry’s dialog regard-ing the infant).
A serious moral issue is raised regarding the assignment of the case and Frankm does not disappoint when it comes to playing by the book. Danny gets the case in rather conflicting way, but this is the only possibility the ethical question is debated.
“Dedication” to family emerges on a general level when the entire Reagan family decides to spend the night at the hospital, even though Frank’s healthiness was not in serious danger.
